Statistics that say where they came from
Most trackers hand you a time. Waypath explains it, and says plainly when a number is modelled rather than measured.
The numbers
What Waypath computes
Grade-adjusted pace
The published Minetti cost-of-running curve shows what a pace was worth on the hills you actually climbed. A 5:52 kilometre up a five per cent grade reads as the effort it really was.
Splits, zones and climb
Per-kilometre laps, time in pace zones, elevation, power and heart rate on one screen.
Race predictions
Projected 5K, 10K, half and marathon times taken from the fastest efforts inside your real runs, not from an average that includes traffic lights. Each carries its own confidence.
Training load
From sessions recorded with a real heart-rate sensor. Sessions without one are not quietly scored.
Readiness
From your sleep, resting heart rate and HRV, and labelled modelled, not measured, because that is what it is.
Segments
Matched on the device, which is the only way to do it here: the version of your route that reaches the server has had its ends trimmed and its timestamps blunted on purpose.
Straight answers
The labels matter
- Readiness is not a health assessment. It is a product's opinion about your sleep and HRV, not a clinical one, and it is badged that way in the app.
- A prediction is an extrapolation. A marathon time predicted from a 5K is a statement about your speed, not your endurance. The confidence figure exists so you can discount it accordingly.
- No sensor, no score. Heart-rate zones and load need a watch or a chest strap. Waypath will not model them from pace.
- Where no honest model exists, there is no number. Some of the 56 sports have no defensible metabolic model. Waypath declines to invent one rather than printing something plausible.
